NSHE Regent Carol Del Carlo Begins Term as Chair of National ACCT Board
Nevada Regent takes national leadership role representing community colleges across the country
The 海角乱伦社区 (NSHE) proudly recognizes Regent Carol Del Carlo as she begins her term as Chair of the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) Board of Directors. She officially began her term during the 2025 ACCT Leadership Congress in New Orleans, where education leaders from across the country gathered to discuss the future of community colleges.
A member of the NSHE Board of Regents since 2017, Del Carlo represents District 9, which includes Carson City and Churchill, Douglas, Lander, Lyon, Mineral, and Storey counties, as well as rural southern Washoe County, including Incline Village. She has previously served as both vice chair and chair pro tempore of the Board. She was the first Nevadan elected to the ACCT Board of Directors, where she most recently served as chair-elect.
In her presiding year, Del Carlo says she plans to carry out the ACCT Board鈥檚 recently adopted strategic priorities with an emphasis on the board鈥檚 role in supporting and ensuring the well-being of our institutional leaders.
