NSHE Colleges and Universities Celebrate Over 14,000 Graduates Statewide聽
The 海角乱伦社区 (NSHE) is proud to announce that just over 14,000 students graduated from the state鈥檚 public colleges and universities this spring. These graduates have earned a range of doctoral, master鈥檚, bachelor鈥檚, and associate degrees, along with certificates of achievement, reflecting the full spectrum of Nevada鈥檚 higher education opportunities.
鈥淕raduation season is a reminder of how many lives are changed through public higher education,鈥 said Board of Regents Chair Amy J. Carvalho. 鈥淲e鈥檙e proud of every graduate and the determination it took to reach this moment. Their success reflects the incredible work happening at NSHE colleges and universities across Nevada.鈥
Commencement ceremonies were held across the state, recognizing students from the University of Nevada, Reno, University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), Nevada State University (NSU), College of Southern Nevada (CSN), Western Nevada College (WNC), Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), and Great Basin College (GBC).
鈥淐ommencement is a celebration not only of academic achievement, but of perseverance, purpose, and potential,鈥 said NSHE Chancellor Patricia Charlton. 鈥淓ach graduate has reached an important milestone, and we鈥檙e proud to support their continued success as they move into careers, further education, and leadership in our communities.鈥
Students from a wide range of fields, including healthcare, education, engineering, business, and the arts, make up the Class of 2025. Their accomplishments reflect NSHE鈥檚 role in helping Nevada build a strong, skilled workforce and create pathways for lifelong learning.
Among this year鈥檚 graduates:
- NSHE鈥檚 youngest graduates are just 16 years old, earning associate degrees through dual-enrollment programs at TMCC. The oldest graduate is 78, earning a graduate degree from UNLV. Showing that education is for all ages.
- Thousands of NSHE students are the first in their families to graduate from college, including 60 percent of Nevada State University鈥檚 graduates and nearly half of UNLV鈥檚.
- The College of Southern Nevada awarded the most bachelor鈥檚 degrees in its history, a 40 percent increase over last year.
- Students in newly launched programs at TMCC, including architecture, nutrition, and radiologic technology, graduated this spring as part of the first-ever cohort.
NSHE serves more than 100,000 students each year. This year鈥檚 graduating class reflects the system鈥檚 commitment to helping students complete their degrees and reach their goals.
