The º£½ÇÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø (NSHE) Board of Regents elected Regent Byron Brooks as Chair and Regent Stephanie Goodman as Vice Chair at its June quarterly meeting. Their one-year terms will begin July 1, 2025, and end on June 30, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regent Byron Brooks<\/strong><\/a> was elected to the Board of Regents in 2020 to represent District 3. Regent Brooks is a U.S. military veteran with a deep commitment to service and community advocacy. He previously sat as a board of trustee for Congregation Ner Tamid, a suicide prevention instructor for the Nevada Coalition of Suicide Prevention, and a mentor for the Veterans Treatment Court. He previously served as Chair of the Board of Regents in 2023. He also leads the Investment Committee and serves as Vice Chair of the Health Sciences System Committee. Outside of Board service, he is a small business entrepreneur, continues to mentor fellow veterans, and stays active in the Jewish community. His work across health care, veteran advocacy, and education brings valuable insight to the<\/p>\n\n\n\n Board\u2019s efforts to serve communities throughout Nevada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
